Vladislav Surkov’s “Putin’s Long State” missive/manifesto from Feb. 2019 is even in translation a useful window into the philosophical xtension of “Putinism” long beyond his regime. It’s derisive cynicism about the seeming nature of humanity and the passe role of liberal culture is a real eye opener; I encourage anyone to expose themself to it. He seems to carry the potency of Dugin in laying out the field of Russian culture and expansion as an eternal force. If we don’t take it into account as motive for Russia’s actions backed up by disinformation and forced delusion, we in the “West” can be swamped.
