“Kremlin does not need us to believe them, they need us to not believe each other.”—Adam Sybera
QUICK NOTE: A heartfelt thank you to all the new members, those who upgraded to Founding Member and to those sent additional donations to support me on the road. I am a pillow-clutching emo girl right now, as I reflect on my experiences in DC. From the brilliant people I met at TedX MidAtlantic to my trip to the African American History and Culture Museum; to the protestors I interviewed who have been holding a candlelight vigil for J6 prisoners for two and a half years who had such sweet conviction but factually knew so little, revealing the gravity of our mind war situation; to HiFi irl making coffee each morning for me and Jackie Singh irl. Yes, I got to meet two of my closest allies in this war in real life and even as I type this I weep cuz have you met me, lol. Driving through DC singing Bon Jovi with HiFi as we met up with Leonard Leo whistleblower Tom Carter, and sat on Carter’s porch drinking sweet tea before walking over to the Congressional cemetery and marveling at the irony of J. Edgar Hoover being buried next to Leonard Matlovich, the first gay Vietnam service member to out himself to fight the ban on gay people. Much more TK, but first, please don’t miss tomorrow’s event.
REGISTER FOR HAPPY HOUR: Tuesday, June 11, noon PT, we will be joined by Adam Sybera. Look for an upcoming RadPod interview with the analyst/journalist, who is bringing us news from Kharkiv, as well as other cities under siege.
In the TedX Talk below, you’ll find Sybera use the words — ‘mental invasion’ — and that really stood out to me. There is he is in Ukraine documenting war crime after war crime by the Russian invaders, and yet, he says “some of the most insidious attacks” are on our perception of reality by Putin’s regime.
“Some of the most insidious attacks come from the deliberate disinformation campaigns of the Kremlin into which Russia invests over $1.9 billion dollars annually.”—Adam Sybera
He also said something brilliant in our RadPod interview, which I will now be using as a mantra. Just as reporter Paul Niland gave us the gift of seeing that what is afflicting the US is a complete assault on reality, what Sybera said is this — in the ‘90s, we made a mistake by doing business with Russia.
We need to admit our mistake.
We crawled into bed with a fascist dictatorship mafia state, and until we admit that mistake, and disentangle ourselves and our finances, tech, government, academia, etc., completely from that mafia state, we will continue to be sucked into their fascist undertow.
“The Kremlin operates with the premise that there is no objective truth, and no one can be trusted, and will is implemented by violence. Not giving into this premise has proved to be a crucial factor in the successful repelling of the initial attack on Kyiv, which was based on the presumption of Western division and expectation that Ukraine will give up.”—Adam Sybera
“In humanity, violence and death are old tools of Russian tactics in their aspiration to control and subdue people.”—Adam Sybera
Each day, I get calls and emails from allies showing evidence of more Russian interference and tentacles into our country’s reality and functions.
I don’t need more evidence of what I already know to be true — what I need is action from our leaders to stop the bleeding of minds traumatized by this mental invasion. I need to see the ongoing national security risks by those funded by the Russians to be taken seriously. I need to see the pro-Kremlin faction in our government tossed out on their asses and forever shunned. I need to see the tech bros diminished in power — the platforms funded and infiltrated by the Russians shuttered or turned into public utilities that serve our communication needs without poisoning our minds.
RadPod’s interview with Ken Silverstein should have everyone prepared to do everything we can to defeat the MAGA Cult permanently.
Sybera, together with local volunteers and NGOs, has collected thousands of pieces of evidence proving Russian state terrorism, from deliberate rocket attacks on civilian populations to systemic sexual violence and torture of prisoners of war.
I am incredibly grateful that Sybera will meet with our group and bring us his findings and how we can help. I am working on getting a way to help fund a ‘Peaky Blinders’ drone unit in Ukraine, which needs about $500 to fix equipment. I will post those details in tomorrow’s reminder on where and how we can help. This group has done so much to help boots on the ground in Ukraine, and it’s an honor to make these connections.
The more we each have in our arsenal as we speak about these issues in our own networks, the more likely we are to have a resounding victory against Putin in November.
Then, with victory in hand, we can admit our mistake and get our own house in order.
“Building civil resilience is the best way to counter foreign interference and hateful propaganda.”—Adam Sybera
