I recently wrote about how we counter Trump’s recipe of doing three awful things a day by platforming the good things happening around the world:

Three Beautiful Things

Rather than spend each day mired in the suck, I try to always do at least one beautiful thing a day and often more.

One of the things that helps me a great deal during this time is the community we’ve carved out here at Bette Dangerous.

This Tuesday, May 5, Noon Pacific, I invite guests to bring their stories and reports of something beautiful happening in their communities or globally — small offerings and large.

Our Happy Hour will be populated by surprise guests and a birthday party for our good friend Dietmar Pichler, a Vienna-based disinformation analyst who brings us the news on the regular.

I hope you can make it.

To new members, the Happy Hour began two years ago, when I noticed many Bette members in despair. I thought a weekly wellness checkin for newsies was in order, and it evolved into a session where global guests offer news from around the world. The title was always meant to be ironic, but I know I feel better when our community comes together.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to those of you who are renewing your memberships and are new to the Bette community. Super grateful!
