The best part about working in teams is we have one another’s backs. We help lift each other up and out of despair when the fire from the hot information war is taking direct aim.
I have known for a decade that we are living in a post-privacy world and while other countries outside of America are waking up to that fact and updating their laws to take punitive action against tech companies and those who exploit technology to harm people, the US lags behind. It’s safe to say, the new regime will do nothing to prevent further distress and privacy erosion.
With International Data Privacy Day 2025 coming up this week, I thought it might be useful to have a conversation about how to take more precaution and dial down one’s attack surface.
The bottom line is anyone with a phone/computer/social media is vulnerable to exploitation by bad actors, but aside from living off the grid in a yurt, there are some basic things to know and habits to adopt that prove useful.
