Bette members are invited to our Geopolitical Happy Hour, where we will be joined by geopolitical analysts from Canada, Italy, Finland, the US, and beyond:

Our meetings are growing, which is a good sign that people are engaging despite the challenges of these times.
Please note: Our next Speakeasy series begins on January 18, with retired IRS criminal investigator Martin Sheil, walking us through Trump-Russia Money Laundering 101. I’ll be sending out more news on that shortly. And to my Founding Members, we will be resuming our special events just for you in February. Thank you as always for carrying me.
A note for new members: the Happy Hour began three years ago, when I noticed many Bette members in despair. I thought a weekly wellness checkin for newsies was in order, and it evolved into a session where global guests offer news from around the world. The title was always meant to be ironic, but I know I feel better when our community comes together.
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to those of you who are renewing your memberships and are new to the Bette community. Your support means everything to me. It’s been a devastating time to be a member of independent media, and I am so grateful for your continued support.
