Like a silent film interlude, when the January 6 Committee in its final public hearing flashed to a title card that read, Trump Summoned the Mob, I thought, how fitting. Yes, of course, as he incited and encouraged violence with his words, he summoned the mob. But the double entendre wasn’t lost on me. Trump has been summoning the mob for decades.
