Trump Is Putin's Fixer
With Trump's every move benefitting Vladimir Putin, I turn to countries like Estonia for ideas on how to prosecute traitors

At a recent Bette event, Prague-based technologist Josef Holy said that we are losing our capacity to retain events, because Trump does something terrible three times a day. This is why I try not to react to the daily outrages, precious time is better spent on investigations and solutions-based interviews.
The Hague
What is important: Trump’s friend Rodrigo Duterte is at The Hague.
Currently, Duterte is detained by the International Criminal Court, which is determining if he should stand trial for crimes against humanity committed during his so-called ‘war on drugs,’ which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 77,000 people.
Orbán’s Ceaușesku Moment
It’s important that Hungarians are closing in on Viktor Orbán, a bagman for the Kremlin, and a malignant force in the EU.
Orbán’s titushky is failing to create unreality on the world stage, as he’s now publicly booed in a scenario reminiscent of Ceaușesku’s fall.
As Marci Shore taught me:
“There's always some mystical moment when it's that one additional person. And what is that cocktail that produces that? That, to some extent, is in the realm of the spontaneous. And think about Romania. Think about, Bucharest — Ceausescu in December 1989. That regime was brutal. They had crushed everybody. And suddenly, there's a rally of support for Ceausescu, and the one guy who starts shouting ‘Boo.’ And just at that moment, the people around him catch on, they cross to the other side of fear, and suddenly, after decades of brutal repression, it's over in the next 20 minutes.”—Dr. Marci Shore
Molotovs in Prague
In one of the largest protests since the Velvet Revolution, a quarter million people in the Czech Republic protested last week against the corruption and authoritarian drift of their pro-Russian prime minister Babiš’s regime.
And on Friday, Czech police said an unknown attacker threw several Molotov cocktails at a Russian cultural center in Prague on Thursday.
Liberty in Paris
On Saturday, worldwide protests took place against the Trump regime, a Kremlin-linked cabal of criminals treating the US government as a bank to be looted.
Here’s a reminder of what liberty looks like from No Kings Paris.

What We Do Tomorrow
Nearly a decade ago, as I interviewed women and men at the Women’s March in DC on January 21, 2017, I will never forget a New Yorker telling me: “It’s what we do tomorrow.”
Well, tomorrow came and went, and we did not do enough. Every single one of the institutions that were supposed to protect us from threats within and without failed us.
Trump Is Putin’s Fixer
Each day, Trump the Reality Star wakes up to a new episode of his D-list series, where he is made to look like he’s vanquishing perceived enemies, and his cell of yes’man criminals sits around a table and nods at even his pokiest drivel, toadies til the last.
Trump is Putin’s fixer, he took all that money decade after decade from the Russian mob, and now he delivers returns. One of the few economies to benefit from the US-Israeli war on Iran, is the Russian economy. Thanks to the spike in oil prices, Russian oil and gas revenues are expected to grow by 70% in April, compared to March, the highest monthly level since October 2025, according to Reuters.
In addition, as I wrote March 7, the war also takes aim at European leaders.
I noted:
As the US becomes a drunken brawler, I see one clear goal emerge: taking down all remaining democratic European leaders, who are damned if they do support the war, and damned if they don’t.
Trump and Putin are on the same team, so when people are confused why Trump still supports Putin even when Putin is helping murder our soldiers in Iran, it’s because Donald Trump is a traitor.
Luna-cy
By now, it should not be difficult to spot the patterns of pro-Russian traitors in the US. How many names did convicted felon George Santos have and what oligarch paid his way to the limelight?
And where did he spend his holidays?
How many names did JD Vance have and what oligarch paid his way into the limelight?
How many names does former strip club employee turned pro-Russian Rep. Anna Paulina Luna have and why was she allowed to bring a delegation of Russian war criminals into our Capitol on Thursday?
Because we have failed to deal with treason every step of the way… we let a Fifth Column grow inside our government, while our former allies watched in shock.
But there are places where we can turn that know what to do with its pro-Kremlin traitors.
I have written about this many times, but I am happy to do so again…
Countries That Fight Back
Watching countries like Ukraine, Estonia, and Romania fight back is inspiring and should be where we go for ideas on next moves.
Ukraine convicted Viktor Yanukovych of high treason in 2019, sentencing him to 13 years in prison in absentia. Yanukovych, who bilked Ukraine out of billions of dollars, fled to Moscow in 2014 with dozens of his criminal associates.
In Romania, a top court voided a 2024 presidential election, alleging Russian interference and electoral violations, when a far-right outsider topped first-round polls. The re-run resulted in a May win for the pro-European Union politician Nicusor Dan. A huge turnout on election day revealed Dan’s victory against a hard-right nationalist as the Romanian people choosing between East and West.
The Digital Front
Estonia offers the most recent example of what to do with pro-Russian politicians.
In January, an Estonian court sentenced pro-Russian politicians to prison terms for high treason. One of the leaders of the pro-Russian party Koos, Aivo Peterson, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, while Dmitry Rootsi and Russian citizen Andrei Andronov received 11 years. Peterson and Rootsi were found guilty of high treason, while Andronov was convicted of participating in non-violent activities against Estonia.
According to DW Russian, “the court found it proven that Peterson and Rootsi maintained contact with Russian authorities, discussed political cooperation and the creation of a party capable of changing Estonia’s political course. This could have given Russia the opportunity to covertly influence Estonian politics in the future, the court decision states. In addition, Andrei Andronov was involved in organizing press tours to territories of Ukraine occupied by Russia, while Peterson participated in trips and the creation of propaganda materials aimed, in particular, at weakening support for Ukraine in Estonia.”
This is important because what Luna is doing by whitewashing Russian war crimes could have gotten her 14 years in prison in Estonia, because Estonians know that people like her are a terrible danger to national security and to their country’s very existence.
Trump inviting Putin on American soil to whitewash his crimes, and then launching an illegal war, which benefits Putin in myriad ways, was a direct challenge to what remains of international law.
Such acts of treason could never have happened in a place like Estonia, because democracy’s heart is still healthy.
Estonia’s former prime minister, Kaja Kallas, is among the true leaders of the free world.
In addition to prosecuting pro-Russian politicians for treason and not allowing real estate transactions to occur through shell companies where the beneficial owner is unknown, which would have put Donald Trump out of business, Estonia takes additional precautions to thwart Russia’s overthrow of its government.
Estonia, a Baltic country which shares a border with Russia, is actively pursuing legal and security measures against Russian nationals responsible for the war crimes in Ukraine, including lobbying for prosecution of Russian leaders for their crimes against humanity.
And rather than give members of the Duma tours, Estonia restricted entry for Russian citizens, particularly targeting ex-combatants, and is among the countries at the forefront of battling Russian active measures aimed at tearing apart the fabric of their democracy.
Estonia stopped issuing visitor visas to Russian citizens and Estonian security services focus on preventing a Fifth Column to grow inside their borders.
Last week, Estonia officially joined the ‘Enhanced Partial Agreement on the Management Committee of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Russia’s Aggression against Ukraine,’ according to a statement from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They are keenly aware of the threats Russia poses. Currently, Russia is pushing propaganda about annexing the border city of Narva, duplicating its 2014 actions in the Donbas region of Ukraine. According to multiple reports, Narva’s population is largely Russian speaking, making it vulnerable to Russian propaganda, worrying Estonians that “Moscow might succeed in weakening NATO by making the cost of protecting Estonia too high,” according to a report in News Line Magazine that calls Estonia the front line in the new Cold War.
As it pushes for a tribunal that could make rulings even in the absence of the accused, Estonia also took the recent step to ban the entry of 261 Russian nationals who fought in Ukraine, citing national security concerns.
Estonia’s Interior Minister Igor Taro explained that the banned individuals were hostile to Europe, with combat experience and military training, often criminal backgrounds, psychological damage, and that “the threat they pose is not theoretical.” He also warned of their potential ties to organized crime and possible cooperation with Russian security services.
Taro also said that those who committed violence in Ukraine “have no place in the free world.”
Because America did not deal with treason from within, the free world is shrinking, with 74% of the world’s population now living in an autocracy.
Estonia is very small, with a population about the size of San Antonio, Texas, but it knows how to fight these Russians.
They had a lot of practice — it was ground zero for Russian hybrid warfare, when in April and May 2007, Estonia became the target of a coordinated cyber attack. Over a three-week period, government, media, internet providers, banks, and businesses were targeted, predominantly by a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS).
It was retaliation for Estonia removing Soviet-era statues.
The attacks prompted the creation of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Center of Excellence (CCDCOE) in May 2008.
Estonia is a NATO country, at a time when Trump is actively sabotaging NATO and Russia is hinting at annexing Narva.
There is very little time to prosecute these regimes for their crimes against humanity, and prevent the worst from happening.
Dethrone the Despots
I ran into a Ukrainian friend today. He saw that I was reading Gulag Archipelago, and he told me his father is in prison in Russia. I asked him: “Is it because he’s an honest, decent man?” He said, “They got his phone, and saw he supported Ukraine.”
I had dinner with another friend, who works in the world of finance.
He explained his new financial strategy: “Either global markets recover, or the world ends, in which case, you won’t need money.”
I admit, I laughed at the truth in his statement.
I thought to myself, there is another option.
We dethrone the despots — no kings, no tsars — we need a global coalition led by the leaders of the free world to put an end to the tyranny being created by cruel and corrupt men who are doing everything in their power to stay out of prison.
I draw additional inspiration from the country of Georgia, whose pro-EU citizens have been risking their lives every day for 487 days, because they don’t want to be governed by Russian proxies.
I pray for the strength and courage of the remaining leaders of the free world to forgo issuing statements and hosting conferences. And instead, take decisive action for the good of humanity.
