Comes each year like clockwork, that post-Christmas blues. I look at my tree and realize its beauty will be dismantled and stored for another year, and along with it, the ornaments it’s taken a lifetime to collect. But ce la vie. In with the new — refresh, recharge, plow on.

Bette members: please join our Tuesday Happy Hour today, New Year’s Eve, at 9 am for some tea and empathy, as we fill a cup of kindness for the sake of auld lang syne. Our hour will be shared with a quick work recap from me, and some special guests from throughout the world updating us on pro-democracy efforts.

We know the work ahead, but we also know it’s our duty to have to have a happy life, and for me, spending time with you brings me joy and strength. Christmas Eve’s Happy Hour was memorable and beautiful, as we shared stories of love among the ruins and were joined by brave patriots protesting in the streets of NYC.
