THIS JUST IN — Second Prize in ‘Crazy Fool’ Book Raffle
Those entering the raffle to win a copy of one of my rarest books, Sublime’s Brad Nowell — Crazy Fool: Portrait of a Punk — will also have a chance to win a copy of my Vans Warped Tour book
***Thank you for supporting my work with a membership.***
Thanks to the overwhelming support I’m receiving for the raffle to win a signed copy of one my most coveted books, Sublime’s Brad Nowell — Crazy Fool: Portrait of a Punk — I’m now offering a second prize to the runner-up.
My second book in the visual style of Crazy Fool is Vans Warped Tour: Tales of Freedom and Psychotic Ambition. Also art directed by the brilliant Chris Gallipoli — my partner in punk ‘crime’.
So the first name I draw out of the hat wins the sublime book, and the second name I draw will win the Vans Warped Tour book — a glorious punk ‘yearbook’ celebrating the famed music and sports festival in all its electric glory. I interviewed more than 60 bands and athletes for that project — from Blink-182 to Pennywise, Bad Religion to Rancid, NOFX to Good Charlotte, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones to Ice T.
Below are the details if you want to join the raffle, which ends at 3:30 pm tomorrow with the winner announced during Bette’s Speakeasy at 4 pm:
To enter, please donate a minimum of three cups of coffee — $9 — to either my Ko-Fi or Venmo accounts:
Please enter as many times as you like before Sunday, Dec. 17, 3:30 pm. The winner will be announced at my Speakeasy event featuring Jack Bryan and John Mattes of Lawyers, Guns, and Money. If you haven’t watched RadPod’s interview with John Mattes, run, don’t walk. Here are the Speakeasy details:
I will contact the books’ winners via email.
To the Bette members entering multiple times… 🥹. Also, 11 subscribers have been automatically entered in the raffle by a generous Bette donor who purchased raffle tickets for others.
Thank you in advance for supporting me in this way. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a recovery program that had a big shortfall this year.
For my friends who are unfamiliar with the music of sublime, here’s a favorite:
