A Marty breaker on Trump’s criminal indictment - a first ever for an ex-president*
I can’t improve on perfection, so I’m going to serve it up, straight, no chaser. Retired IRS criminal investigator Martin Sheil - who was the featured guest at our recent ‘Speakeasy’ - just responded to my query on the news breaker that Trump has been criminally indicted over hush money payments in Stormy Daniels’ probe - the origin story of Trump’s election interference.
Here is what he said:
Spring has sprung and the floodgates are now officially open
The king of grift will now face accountability that has been a long time in coming and this won’t be the last indictment
I am happy that this fraudster is being brought to justice first in NYC - a town where so many contractors and sub contractors have been ripped off by the Donald
Schadenfreude must be sweet to the many carpenters and electricians and working people of NY who have been ripped off by this shyster
The irony is rich here that the NYPD who derive their salaries from the taxes paid by most law abiding tax paying citizens of the Big Apple will now have to protect this projected non tax paying felon
But questions remain
Who will be the first to cash in on the Trumpsters mug shot?
When will the trial be slated to start? And who and how will it be decided which trial goes first after Fani Willis indicts Trump in Georgia and Special Counsel Jack Smith indicts Trump first in Florida for the Mar a Lago docs case then in DC for Conspiracy to Defraud the US?
Inquiring minds want to know…
Is Michael Cohen all smiles now?
How about Mike Pence?
Did Rudy just open up another bottle of Remy Martin in order to drown his sorrows? Was that noise just now the sound of the DeSantis camp opening up champagne bottles? Did Putin just throw a bottle of Vodka against the wall?
Speaking of walls did the wait staff in Mar a Lago safe guard all the ketchup bottles from being tossed?
Who will be Trumps legal representative in NYC? That’s going to cost Donnie some major Dinero
How will Fox News handle the drama?
So many questions…
