So today’s news is exactly what you’d expect from a newly minted fascist regime: get entrenched at home and then hit outside.
Fascism is terrible for business — it completely stamps out human ingenuity, benefiting the very few — so fascist leaders have to pillage other countries to prop up the economy.
We can expect Soviet show trials to begin immediately on State TV and Rumble.
The paper thin excuses — the why of it — will get thinner and thinner.
The excuses are to confuse Europe, to keep its leaders on their back foot.
And how soon will the United States invade a genuine democracy, say, Costa Rica? One month? Two?
In all of history, no democracy has ever made war on another democracy — but we should expect that soon. Those still navel gazing might then determine the US is not a democracy.
The clickbait fascism thunders on.
