Tech Bro, Soldiers, General, Spy - An Unholy Alliance

The alliance of a former KGB spy, a disgraced American general, a psycho tech bro, and mercenaries is harming the world and needs a tribunal at The Hague

Through tear-streaked eyes I read my friend and colleague Zarina Zabrisky’s Byline Supplement report from Ukraine, Ukrainian Dreams: The Dark Roots of Putin’s Nightmare War.

As she described her youth - divided between blissful summer memories of Odesa and dark winter memories of St. Petersburg - I thought of my own childhood. My beautiful memories of San Francisco - my father’s dream - intertwined with a post-war darkness, the untreated transgenerational trauma that permeated my household. I see it now. I did not see it then.

Zarina’s poetic reflections of war touched me so deeply because through her words a mirror formed of my own experiences - I can see myself now, through the looking glass at my younger self, haunted by a darkness, unspoken. My father never leaving food untouched on the table - “your father starved” I would later learn.

In my Byline Supplement article on the politics of food, I asked Gastronativism author Fabio Parasecoli to define the food of fascism, and he said, “Hunger.”

‘Spy’

As I noted in my report on the writings of Karen Dawisha, who wrote Putin’s Kleptocracy, we learned that “Putin was stealing from the very beginning.” As people in St. Petersburg were starving, he and his cronies stole millions of dollars in funds that were supposed to help offer hunger relief, according to Dawisha’s reporting. That is the work of a sociopath. A KGB spy should never have been allowed to rule a country, let alone form alliances that would traumatize entire countries with psychological warfare - a psycho groomer who then drops bombs and tortures his victims - victims who desire freedom, freedom of country, freedom of truth.

‘Tech Bro’

Elon Musk continues to transmit messages for Putin, as Fiona Hill said. In my Unmusked report, I wrote that the tech bro was using Twitter to destroy the concept of objective truth. Twitter is a minefield of information warfare under the cloak of a social media platform. In other words, the type of psychological terrorism that might be enjoyed by a KGB spy. That Musk is connected to “Putin’s favorite Congressman” Dana Rohrabacher should shock no one.

‘General’

On the second anniversary of a very dark day in American history, Elon Musk invited disgraced Mike Flynn back onto Twitter. The retired American lieutenant general with expertise in psychological operations was fired by two presidents. In 2017, Flynn pleaded guilty for lying to the FBI about his multiple contacts with a Russian ambassador, a Kremlin hardliner. Flynn took payments from Russian entities, including $45,000 to attend dinner in Moscow where he sat beside Putin. In his ongoing radicalization tours, he promotes Russian propaganda and is alleged to have played a large role in the Insurrection, according to Vice TV, AP, and Frontline documentaries. Thousands of people have signed a petition denouncing the Christian nationalism that he is spreading and calling him “a false prophet.” My podcast partner Jim Stewartson uncovered video of him reciting a cultic prayer in a Christian church, and retired General Paul Eaton said Flynn’s ReAwaken America Tour is “scary stuff” and “dangerous.”

“That is a reindoctrinating event,” Eaton said on the Vice TV series, The Search for Q. “When you talk about Flynn generating a digital army, every one of those people is a potential foot solider available to General ex-Flynn… he sat down to break bread with Vladimir Putin.”

Eaton said “this renegade retired lt. general” should “be brought back on active duty and given a trial for offenses that I believe he has committed.”

Instead, Elon Musk, has brought him back on Twitter.

‘Soldiers’

This unholy alliance includes mercenaries such as ‘Putin’s Chef’ Yevgeny Prighozin and Blackwater’s Erik Prince - who met with a Putin ally in 2017 in the Seychelles, a meeting orchestrated by a convicted pedophile, George Nader, who is currently serving a ten year sentence for child sex crimes. Two decades ago, he was imprisoned for sexually abusing ten boys in the Czech Republic.

Prince is a military contractor who founded the mercenary group, Blackwater. Four Blackwater guards were convicted for the massacre at Nisour Square of Iraqi civilians. It should be noted that multiple high-profile prosecutors and constitutional scholars claim Trump committed pardon fraud when pardoning the Blackwater guards and Flynn. No president had pardoned convicted mass murderers or military traitors before. Prince also trained spies to infiltrate liberal groups, according to a New York Times investigation.

Linked to the mercenary group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin served time in prison on violent criminal charges, and now returns to prison to recruit soldiers for Putin’s war of annihilation in Ukraine. Prighozin was indicted by the Department of Justice for running the large-scale troll subversion operation out of St. Petersburg that caused ‘chaos on every level’ in our 2016 election. Now, he is currently making news for pardoning Russian felons who joined the war effort.

A panel of Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) judges just bestowed on Prigozhin the title “Corrupt Official of the Year.”

“Prigozhin is a soldier of corruption,” says OCCRP’s Drew Sullivan. “He fights and murders to install corruption. Wagner is nothing more than an organized crime group sanctioned by the Russian government.”

‘An Unholy Alliance’

As I read Zarina’s reporting, which so artfully relayed the brutality of both the kinetic and cyber warfare being waged, how a KGB officer came to power and how his propagandists “tube-fed the population brainwashing sludge” for the past two decades, financed by oil dollars - it struck me: The world is being harmed by an unholy alliance of ‘tech bro, soldiers, general, spy’ and we need to form a global alliance against them. We need to expose them as coordinating together to harm the world and have them stand for a tribunal at The Hague.

These men are massively harming the world, with their bombs in Ukraine, and their mercenary war crimes, and their psychological operations waged against unprotected minds of citizens with no experience fending off weapon’s grade digital harms.

Zarina wrote: “The nightmare that haunted Russia has turned into mass insanity.”

What we witnessed this week in America was the kind of performative chaos that paves the way for mass insanity. I do not want what Russia has. I do not want these criminals and their unholy alliance to continue harming our world.

For the very survival of our species - and the beautiful creatures of this earth - these criminals have to be stopped. They have to be tried, convicted, and incarcerated for their crimes against humanity. Their fossil-fuel funders have to face truth and reconciliation, and we have to move forward with a new mindset that we can choose better leaders, ones who are aligned with a future that includes new, empathetic ways of thinking and being. We see that these leaders exist in Finland and New Zealand. We have a leader in America who bravely goes to work each day, despite being in the eye of a disinformation hurricane.

Together, we can defend truth against the fake reality these criminals create in a quest to cloak corruption and the pursuit of never ending power.

The International Court of Justice at The Hague - where Special Counsel Jack Smith served as a Kosovo war crimes prosecutor - is where they need to be. Stripped of their propaganda, their troll armies, their TV liars, their tans, and any ability to bend reality, and presented only with truth, we will see how small they truly are, and we will see how much the world’s mental health repairs as people return to a shared fact-based narrative.

Liberal democracies have always been imperfect. But I can type these words for you today, because my mind has not yet been coopted by the fake reality of these small cruel men.

I can type.

I remain free.

Truth is worth the fight.
