***THIS EVENT IS AT A 8 AM PT TODAY, TUESDAY JANUARY 21***

“Even in the coldest darkest winter, there will be a spring… just probably not in my lifetime.”—Tom Carter for Bette Dangerous

As I have written before, I love spending time with veteran journalists. Raconteurs are among my favorite species. So when I was in DC earlier this month, I made sure to meet up with my pal Tom Carter for breakfast.

The theme of the meeting was “I have one more story for you…” and then we would chat for another hour lol.

Before we parted, I turned on the recorder and captured this interview:

Join me in following his advice to commit small acts of resistance.

I asked him to be our guest for this week’s Happy Hour, as he lives in DC and can report live from the inaugural hangover.

I asked him what he would like to call the hour and he said:

“It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine…”

It’s our job to have a happy life, as we learned from Dalton Trumbo, even in trouble times.

So please join us today in 90 minutes. Members will find the registration link below the paywall at the very end of this post.

In solidarity, reality, truth, and unity,

Heidi xo
