They lose their orientation, the ability to warn each other, the skill to react accordingly, to heal or find food. The same is happening to us. Without a healthy natural information exchange algorithm, we are doomed.”

No one is coming to save us, so it’s up to us to learn how to shield our mind, and that is why I’m stepping up the frequency of our meetings with experts.

In recent weeks we have heard from Navalny campaigner Dmitrii Kovegin who says people in Russia walk around like they’re already imprisoned and can’t trust anyone — a reminder to cherish our sacred trust in one another. We heard from environmental activist Wes Clark Jr who made it clear why we only have one choice in November if we care at all for the future. Recent guests speakers — from Jeff Sharlet to David Pepper, Anne Nelson to Monique Camarra — all shared a clear-eyed vision of how we get through the next six months to ensure our imperfect democracy remains intact. It’s what WE do, as Nelson taught us.

This Sunday, please join us as author Alex Alvarova gives us tips on how to shield our minds from the continual assault of information warfare. She is experienced in propaganda literacy, and I am very grateful for the many interviews she has given Bette and RadPod over the years. People who grew up under Soviet rule are “sick a little bit”, she explained. Fed unhealthy diets of abusive lies.

I am watching people in the US lurch from crisis to crisis rather than focus on core objectives — regaining the House so in a second Biden administration we can make deep structural reforms and upgrades to perfect our union.

Rather than freaking out over the latest active measure, let’s focus on the labor of democracy.

We can do that much better when we protect our minds from the adverse impacts of hybrid warfare designed to derail us mentally.

Alex Alvarova is Czech-Canadian author, who lives in Boston, MA. A recognized authority in political marketing and public relations, she is a sought-after seminar leader, facilitator, podcaster and public speaker.
