Starting off the week with mind blown. RadPod just did an incredible interview with yet another brilliant mind, and we can’t wait for you to see it!
Thank you to everyone who supports RadPod and my work here at BetteDangerous.com. I am feeling one of those sunbeams of hope today penetrating my spirt.
Speaking of sunbeams, we will be joined by Anne Nelson at tomorrow’s Happy Hour, noon PT, Tuesday, 2/13, and I am so excited for you to have this opportunity to speak to her about her vital work!
Learn more about here here:
Anne Nelson is a prize-winning author and journalist who published extensively on the issues of human rights and freedom of expression. From 1980 to 1983 she covered the wars in Central America. Her reports from the region appeared in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the BBC. Her most recent book is Shadow Network: Media, Money, and the Secret Hub of the Radical Right, which has informed the new documentary Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism's Unholy War on Democracy. She is also the author of two books on the anti-Nazi resistance, Red Orchestra: The Berlin Underground and the Circle of Friends Who Resisted Hitler, and Suzanne's Children: A Daring Rescue in Nazi Paris. The recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and the Livingston Award for journalism, she taught at Columbia University for over twenty years, and is currently a research scholar at Columbia's Saltzman Institute. She is a native of Oklahoma and graduated from Yale University — the first woman from Oklahoma to graduate from Yale.
Among our key discussion topics with Nelson — her work on the new documentary Bad Faith and her book Red Orchestra. I am so moved by both projects, and I cannot wait to have this conversation. Here is a recent Q & A with Nelson that is particularly fabulous, and a brief reminder that those of you who also support Byline Supplement can join our news meeting with Anne at 9 am PT, then come back for our Happy Hour at noon PT:
Paid Bette members at all levels are welcome to attend this event. Please register in advance using the link below.
