To get a sense of how important it is to come together as a community, this week’s democratic victory in Ohio was also a victory for the Bette community. We had David Pepper as a ‘Speakeasy’ guest multiple times and his encouragement and guidance led to multiple members of our community volunteering for Ohio. What better evidence do we need that when we band together to perform the labor of democracy, democracy wins…

Paul Mason — like Pepper and many of our guests — is very inspiring. His book on How to Stop Fascism is vital reading not only to reveal the stakes, but to also indicate how collectively we can stop fascism in its tracks. Paul is a veteran investigative reporter who — like me — chose to leave network news for the freedom of being an independent journalist in a time of grave deception.

He will be meeting with our community on Sunday at 1 pm PT to give us each guidance.
