Late nights and lowlights: A lo-fi perusal of treasony low-lifes in the first 100 pages of the Mueller Report.

I was down with a cold returning home from a trip up north for Easter week of 2019. I had planted flags at Fort Point under Golden Gate Bridge with my dad’s obituary attached. There was never a more proud American than my German father, and no one loved San Francisco more than my dad. I learned what a great man he truly was when I was tasked with writing his obituary — on deadline, while in mourning, such is the fate of a writer.

He passed away in 2017, and by then I investigating Trump-Russia full-time. It took me until April of 2019 to fulfill a promise I made to him when he was dying — that there would be flags waving in tribute for him at Fort Point.

Driving home that weekend thinking about all the casualties of the Great Information War, how many families have been destroyed, I felt compelled to take advantage of the long drive and begin reading the Mueller Report. With each page and footnote, I found more and more evidence that everything I had been reporting since 2016 was accurate. We’d been attacked, the attacks are ongoing.

I started threading at 4 am on April 26, 2016, thinking I’d take readers through the first 100 pages or so, but I just kept going, compelled to break things down in bitesize pieces.

The report was devastating, and it was subverted by William Barr.

It was also subverted by the fact that people don’t read anymore. It is estimated that less than three percent of the population read the report, I’m guessing it’s more like .003 percent of the population.

Because my work on the 2016 Election Attack series has me revisiting the details of that fateful year, I think it’s important to return to the scene of the crime for a Mueller Report refresher.

The thread is 90+ tweets so this will likely be more than our usual hour, but I will try to breeze through it.
