As many of you know, Jim’s background in technology includes pioneering the field of Alternate Reality Games — working on projects for Halo 2, Nine Inch Nails, and with Steven Spielberg. When he saw techniques that he helped create for fun and to engage community being weaponized to mass radicalize people into what amounts to the creation of a fake reality, he began exposing the culprits.

Last night, as I was listening to his Twitter spaces explaining ARG, I thought I would ask him to join us for an upcoming Speakeasy and when Monique asked if she could postpone her next visit with us for a week, Jim agreed to be with us today.
