I was invited to Wes Clark Jr.’s Halloween party, where I got to meet both Wes and Jack Bryan in person — along with their wonderful wives and friends. We sat around a table and sang songs from the ‘80s, and I am still smiling at the memory of the wonderful evening.

Ever since I received the invite, I knew I was going to get dressed as Marie Antoinette, and bring a fake cake with a sign on it that said, “Fake news.” Marie never said those words — she was generous and kind, and charitable. Aside from a knack for spending money, she did none of the heinous things she was accused of and even while she met her executioner, she apologized for stepping on his foot.

Her main crime was being born in Austria, and being married off at 14.

The experience of getting into the costume taught me why royals had people dress them back in the day as it was a royal pain in the arse.

Nevertheless, she persisted lol.

This preamble is to say that when we meet for our weekly wellness checkin this Tuesday at 5 pm PT, it will be All Hallow’s Eve, and I will be in costume.
