***QUICK NOTE: OUR HAPPY HOUR THIS WEEK IS ON WEDNESDAY WITH ZARINA ZABRISKY. DETAILS BELOW.***
Hello to all new and returning members. Thank you for making this work possible.
I had a recent realization that pro-democracy writers are competing for headline attention against very well-financed and coordinated ‘clickbait fascism’ and to write one-off reports on a subject that deserves multi-part exploration is to surrender in advance.
When initially interviewing Ukrainian historian Tetiana Boriak, it became quite obvious to me that there was more and more to mine from the richness of her work. The only sensible solution was invite her back and develop a four-part lecture and interview series. Our month-long event culminated with an audience participation Q&A.
While being interviewed by Adrian Goldberg for Byline Podcast on a Trump-Russia starter kit, I realized that it is going to be quite necessary in coming weeks for all of us to have a ready arsenal of good, concise information for those in our lives who are just now willing to accept that Russian has interrupted America’s self-determination through US proxies. Turning away from our beloved allies in Europe is no one’s American dream.
I realized that a multi-part series with New York Times bestselling author Craig Unger discussing the findings in his books on Trump-Russia would be incredibly beneficial to our community. Luckily, he agreed, and will be doing deep dives with us on his findings in House of Trump/House of Putin and American Kompromat.
So please calendar these upcoming events. And if you are not yet a paid member, please consider upgrading. The following events are open to all levels of paid membership. You will find each event’s registration below the paywall at the very bottom of this post:
