How the media is platforming menticide

Menticide is a systematic, intentional undermining of a person’s conscious mind, and it’s happening at scale in primetime.

Mike Pence is on a reputation washing binge — using the name of God as a magic wand to pretend away the violence of the Insurrection and to misshape reality as he hides behind Mother.

Putin is murdering reality in grade schools, with new textbooks that tell a fairytale about his war of annihilation in Ukraine — praising Russia — just in time for back to school.

GOP leaders are ganging up on reality to play victim, cry witch hunt, and scream rigged.

As I reported in my Roy Cohn American Monster investigation, they’re engaging in ‘blame the prosecutor’ because they got caught. Here’s Trump and Roger Stone’s mentor Cohn with the template, in a clip from ‘Where’s My Roy Cohn’:

It’s worth noting, Trump’s personal lawyer Cohn represented New York crime families.

We are talking about a mob story — a transnational mob story — the kind that Robert Mueller warned us about more than a decade ago.

And as ex-fed Martin Sheil said at Bette’s Happy Hour today, “the counterattack will be commencing momentarily.”

It’s here. They’re desperate. If Fox is trotting out the figurative corpse of Paul Manafort, you know times is tough.

Reality check: Do you know what happens to clients of Paul Manafort? They run… for their lives… to Moscow, where they are eventually convicted of treason.

As Marty said today, revoke Trump’s passport, put him under a gag order, and let the mob roll up begin. Charles McGonigal pleaded guilty today — he’s got some trading cards.

“The more Trump & Co. get in trouble, the more the information warfare will be constant and endless,” Ruth Ben-Ghiat cautioned us at a recent Lucid session.

Listen, all they have is their lies, and they will detonate them each time they can secure a camera. Lies are cheap, they’re ginning up violent rhetoric hoping the QAnon zombies will save them.

We must be the Greek chorus that drowns them out, that exposes them as criminals trying to overthrow democracy, we must not meet them on their playing field — which is a battlefield laced with menticide landmines — we go on offense, stay on offense, reality punching back and punching up.
