Very few colleagues are as generous as Thom Hartmann, who supports other writers in a way that is quite rare. When I saw that he joined Bette, I immediately comped him. When he saw that I was getting death threats for my work, he immediately purchased a membership. I reminded him that I had comped him, and he said: “Look, I get it, and every penny counts.”
Whenever he has me on his show, he always encourages his supporters to support my work and even spells out B E T T E. Who does that? Thom.
This week on his program, as we were talking about my latest Hot Type column on Trump’s billionaire collaborators, he also asked me about my podcast partner Jim Stewartson and gave me the opportunity to talk about my friend. Two days later, Jim appeared on his show and Thom gave him an intro in true Thom fashion that was so generous and kind, and also so deserving.
We are going to need each other, all of us.
