Resist the pressure to deify and cultify democracy destroyers, racists, and murderers — and the pageant queens delivering us to fascism

Everyone should now be able to see that the Trump regime is aligned with Putin’s Russia, a systematic destroyer of global democracies.
If you value freedom and are pro-democracy, then Putin’s Russia is your enemy and that means that those who enabled convicted felon Donald Trump to retake the White House are also your enemy.
I am writing this today because there is a great deal of pressure to deify and cultify The Horribles.
A major network, now fully devolved into pro-fascist pushermen, is trying to elevate Erika Kirk into a cult leader, like a post-modern Elizabeth Clare Prophet. A podcast hosted by Stephen Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, aims to soften and normalize the perverse.
I’ve thought very hard about this.
Would you curtsy before Magda Goebbels?
You can and should condemn political violence without deifying those who use/d culture wars to steal our rights.
Horst Wessel, a member of the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, became a propaganda symbol in Nazi Germany following his murder by members of the Communist Party of Germany. Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels elevated Wessel to martyr to mobilize people around the Nazi movement.
Past is prologue, and Trump’s thinning cult needs martyrs and culture wars, as it now turns to pageant queens to deliver us to fascism.
We have to get out of the grips of Russian theater craft and fascist clickbait.
While we were wrong to ignore fringe characters and the cults they were building in the shadows, it’s equally wrong to move them into primetime.
As a veteran news producer, I know all about ratings. War rooms are filled with executives trying to determine what will rate in the 18 to 49 demo.
None of that matters now. Networks are functioning like state TV. They’ve obeyed in advance.
People who care about returning America back into the arms of its European allies, and away from the clutches of authoritarians, have to stay focused on what is real, and not bow to the tremendous parasitic pressure to normalize any of this.
Don’t curtsy before the fascists.
Donald Trump and the criminals in his regime need to be indicted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. Pressure the ICC.
Media outlets that are trying to turn bereaved pageant queens into cult figures to deliver us to fascism need to be boycotted. Turn them off.
All political violence must be condemned, but there’s no need to bend the knee to democracy destroyers, racists, and murderers, and their telegenic normalizers.
America is the country that built monuments to human rights leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., and Abraham Lincoln, and accepted the Statue of Liberty as a gift from a friend and ally who saw us as a beacon of freedom.
Never forget that.
