Divide and conquer is an old trick. I learned in 2017 from a friend of mine who was part of the Civil Rights Movement in the ‘60s to always look for ways to unite — we are weakened when we are divided. On that note, I am bringing Jen Senko back this week. As much as I understand the desire to block MAGANon Cult members from your life, I get it, truly, Senko is going to help us do a rethink on that, while also illustrating how she got her father back from the claws of Fox and Rush.

With America under occupation by foreign oligarchs, the book proves invaluable in understanding why solidarity is required to resist the culture of abuse that occurs in occupied nations.

Bette’s Founder’s Day

I am thrilled to be bringing back my friend Keir Giles, author of Russia’s War On Everybody, whose latest book, Who Will Defend Europe?, was written before the US election. But he had read the teas leaves, and the EU is our next front.

When Giles told me when I met with him in a UK pub in July that America was going to fall, I knew he was correct, but I did everything I could to prevent that reality.

Here is a passage from that interview:

Heidi: I believe that so much of this is that the oligarchs know that global warming is real, and they're trying to turn us back to like some feudalistic state where we're the peasants, and they're the feudal lords, and they can hang out in their bunkers, where we deal with whatever is left for us, and how do we kind of scare America to get it’s shit together in time for November?

Collective Amnesia

Keir: I think it's too late. I think the the collective amnesia that has gripped the United States is partly wishing the problem away. But pretending that it can't possibly be that bad, because if you don't pretend that what you have to deal with — the reality — that means either taking a stand against it or knuckling under and going with the new regime.

It's been a source of mild surprise to much of the rest of the world that those very few criteria for who can stand to be President of the United States doesn't, for example, include you shouldn't be a convicted fraudster. And the extent to which the the constitutional integrity of the United States relies completely on people respecting the Constitution, as opposed to people in power respecting the Constitution rather than trying to circumvent it has been shown to be a massive vulnerability because if you have somebody elected to the presidency with not only a criminal past, but also criminal intent, and they have the blessing of a subverted Supreme Court to go ahead, there's really very little to stop them taking the whole country down the track that they want to go, unlike the previous term where democratic checks and balances were still strong.

We are still in the transition period. Let’s learn from some stellar people what we can do now. And look for more from me on effective Resistance examples in coming days.
