“That brilliant tweet is something I return to all the time because it's so incredibly accurate. And my question is, what do we do about that weakness in the source code? What's the solution?”

Here’s a thought: try factually reporting upon what has happened and what has been said, calling out errors, mis-statements and untruths as they plainly can be seen and proved, instead of putting out speculative, ‘what if’ stories.

And, not doing this only occasionally, but steadily on an ongoing basis.

Trump’s track record, going back long before he sought the presidency, is plain for all to see and to prove. The record is _there_ (as is Biden’,s for that matter).

We can know what Trump will likely do, and whether we can trust hum, based upon what he has done. But, this information needs to be known. Accordingly, it needs to be reported on again and again. (Effective repetition.)

If the motive is to report upon the stakes, rather than the horserace, this is the means to do that.
