Byline Radio and the Mark Thompson Show join Thom Hartmann in giving me some air time to discuss the election, SCOTUS, and avoiding a thousand years of darkness

September 2008, I was exiting a cruise ship on the clock for Fox 11, producing a segment for our meteorologist Mark Thompson, when I heard a guy in front of me in line say: “AIG just collapsed.” Along with the Great Recession came the meltdown of our station.

When I walked out of the building in September 2013, I left everything — even my Anchorwoman bobblehead — everything but the pain.

So hanging out with Mark Thompson on his radio show yesterday brought all the feels, but mostly, I was just grateful. He gave me a segment to speak about the work I do at Bette Dangerous and on RadPod, and because Mark is such a mensch, he was among my first paid subscribers when I launched Bette Dangerous.

Here is our chat, where we focus on the stakes for 2024, SCOTUS, and the Information World War.

Earlier in the day, before our Happy Hour with David Pepper, who I quote multiple times in my interview with Mark, I was interviewed by Adrian Goldberg for Byline Radio. I brought in Bette member and veteran newsman Tom Carter, who spent more than a decade trying to get the New York Times and other major media outlets to help him sound the alarm on Leonard Leo’s Christofascist capture of the Supreme Court.
