Russia watcher and author Keir Giles upcoming book, American Overthrow, is a devastating document of US destruction and what the future looks like if people continue to remain passive
The audiobook of "Who Will Defend Europe" was $3.43 on Audible. I'm already a member, so I purchased it and will listen.
A challenge to consider is that raised by Tad Stoermer and recognized by the Anti-Federalists 239 years ago, the presidential position had too much power and the checks and balances were insufficient.
This gives me some hope, because surely he can’t last much longer?
“creating an American replica of krugovaya poruka, a system that relies on maintaining its essential figurehead at the top of the pyramid, without which everybody risks going to jail.”—Keir Giles, American Overthrow
Your pre-order link must be British Amazon or something, it says “not available in your country.” I typed in the title and author and found the U.S. link and preordered!
My book order is a small contribution to your extremely valuable work, and the author’s. However, I have almost no intention of reading it, do not think I can take it. Maybe you’ve done too good a job highlighting it. Reading your review took me an hour, due to bouts of hyperventilation and necessary breaks. I will keep reading your interviews *about* the book, and hope to gain enough courage to actually read it in full. I wish I was joking, but I’ve recently realized how precarious is my mental state, or trauma level, or whatever one calls it. The weight feels like it fell on me all of a sudden but of course that’s not right. But I am not trying to say that trite thing – ‘oh, you have to give me some hope or I cannot read this…’ NO…NADA…NYET! I crave the unvarnished truth in all matters, while also confessing that I’m just not able to process all of it at the moment.
I fully understand and share your grief/trauma. I included a specific 1940 quote at the end of the review from Charles de Gaulle that sparked the Resistance that helps me in this time. (Keir also just gave me new book links for those who are amazon averse or having trouble ordering that support independent bookstores, which I included at the bottom of post just fyi.)
Is Trump actually in charge. He is clearly unhinged, certifiable even. Does he have the mental capacity to actually do all these things or is someone else doing it for him?

Ruth Deyermond's quote about "mid-late stage Yeltsin" is a good sum up. Will have more on this shortly xo
