In today’s Byline Supplement I write there’s no debating that we are in an information war, and I suggest a way out

Theatre of War: There's No Debating That We Are In an Information War — So How Do We Get Out?

Heidi Siegmund Cuda reports on why the pro-democracy faction in America needs to stop bringing policy papers to a knife fight, and urges President Biden to address the nation on hybrid warfare.

That’s it. That’s the job this November. Preventing the collapse of democracy. Voting so we can vote again. Voting for the continuation of democratic governance so we fix things, like the Supreme Court, an anti-democratic force in America. The judiciary has been captured, as Hillary Clinton warned us it would be when she tweeted in 2015: “A Republican president could nominate as many as 4 Supreme Court justices… that should terrify you…”

Before Joe Biden was elected, our allies had started to speak of the US as part of a new Axis of Evil. Since Joe Biden rolled up his sleeves as the 46th President of the United States, our allies no longer speak of us that way — America is a trusted partner again. He put us back in the Paris Accord, he’s trying to save the North Atlantic Right Whale, he’s the guy who gets the call from other world leaders who need advice, because he is an experienced elder statesman.

But his 90-minute performance last week, standing next to a convicted felon and professional liar, has democratic operatives pearl clutching and members of the GOP sharpening their fangs.

“The GOP is not a political party — it’s an insurgent force plotting to prevent the peaceful transfer of power,” investigative reporter Jim Stewartson told Byline Supplement. 

Wouldn’t be the first time. 

Stewartson said no matter what happens on November 5, on November 6, Trump will declare himself the winner. 

“We’re in a hybrid war against insurgent forces, and we don’t need navel gazing — we need clarity, courage, and vision,” he said.

As we have been warning our viewers on RADICALIZED Truth Survives podcast, what is happening in America is no longer politics, and that is why the debate has stoked so much chaos. A life-long public servant faces off against a trained propagandist — bringing policy papers to a knife fight.

As President Biden spent the last three years repairing the damage created by the Trump administration, which includes multiple convicted felons — including Trump’s 34 felony convictions — Americans have continued to be exposed to weapon’s grade digital warfare. 

The Invisible War, as I call it, has left so many casualties on the virtual battlefield that millions of people do not understand we are not experiencing politics as usual.

Stewartson, a pioneer of alternate reality gaming for such clients as Steven Spielberg, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, and Sony’s Halo series, saw a world he created for fun and engagement become a weapon. Techniques he helped pioneer were used to create QAnon. He explained this to Byline readers three years ago.

Our first report for Byline Times in 2021, A Brainwashed Death Cult: The Gamification of Conspiracy, revealed how people were being radicalized online to believe Democrats were Satanic baby-eating pedophiles and how this brainwashed mindset created the foot soldiers for January 6.

In that report, I wrote:

The theory posits that a shadowy network of Democrat and Hollywood elites are trafficking children through underground tunnels in order to harvest “adrenochrome” from their blood. The substance is supposed to have anti-ageing powers and QAnon followers believe that it is more potent when harvested from frightened children. They also believe that Democrats have been the perpetrators of this satanic ritual abuse and trusted Donald Trump to “save the children” from the “forces of darkness”. 

And since then, the MAGA and QAnon cults have merged, and we’ve learned that the only way to inoculate target populations from information warfare is for the target country leaders to address the nation.

So in an open letter to President Joe Biden in January, we asked him to alert Americans by explaining what’s been happening to them.

That letter was modified from a sample speech our team was asked to write for President Biden on information warfare. We believe the speech may have stalled, because those in his orbit were not comfortable referencing Russia.

We are very clear, however, about the ongoing threats from Putin’s regime, which first detonated information warfare on its own citizens, before directing it at Georgia, Ukraine, and constantly assaulting the West.

Russia’s military is unimpressive — they can’t win in a fair right, so they fight dirty, committing war crimes and torture and theft of children and civilian targeting. They fight dirty with hackers, and mind hackers, and compromat on shady men with shady morals — desperate men with bankrupt souls and revenge in their hearts…

And for Americans, who are witnessing SCOTUS dismantle women’s rights, environmental protections, legalize machine guns, and make presidents king, while also seeing the fascist promise of Project 2025 already taking root, the choice for 2024 should be pretty clear.

The choice this November in America is a Putin-run world or the continuation of the post-World War II progressive world order of which the United States has played a key role…

It’s important that all Americans understand what we witnessed that Thursday night was not a political debate, but the theater of war.

Incumbent Advantage

As the “Step Aside” active measures is fanned by corporate media, useful idiots, tankies, the misguided and the misled, open source investigative researcher Brent Allpress told Byline Supplement, “Incumbency is an electoral advantage that you don’t give up readily just because your opponents are baying for it. The latter is a tell. One candidate defends democracy. The other is a seditionist who seeks an authoritarian end to democratic rights. The choice is between experience and extremism. Ignore the naysayers and vote to retain the right to vote.”

Will Rogers once stated: “I am not a member of any organized political party — I am a Democrat.”

Time to get organized.

Trump must lose, so the promise of America can continue.
