One of the great lessons of propaganda is how the use of repetition erodes defenses to truth.
The phrases that duped people into voting for Trump - Lock Her Up, Build a Wall - recycled from Paul Manafort’s previous stint installing a Putin puppet in Ukraine - were designed to have a hypnotic, WWF appeal.
Americans who watched Trump under contract to NBC and didn’t know he was a fake rich guy laundering money for the Russian mob were already being radicalized. Millions thought Art of the Deal was real and still millions more had been psyopped for decades to care about rich people’s taxes and vote exclusively against women’s health care rights.
That Russian operatives in 2016 were paying Americans to perform cosplay at Potemkin protests made for good photo ops. A guy named Harry Miller took $1000 from the Russians to build a cage for an actress, also paid for by Russians, to perform as Hillary Clinton in prison garb, locked in Harry’s cage.
Harry said he was ‘unwitting’ - only learning who he worked for after the FBI did a door knock.
The Internet Research Agency - run by Yevgeny Prigozhin - had set up a Facebook page called “Being Patriotic” - the same name as their IG and Twitter accounts.
Harry, who lived in Florida, said he noticed the man who hired him did not speak fluent English.
“They had a very beautiful website,” he told CNN.

The reason for this walk down memory lane is to note that all the same things are occurring now, in 2023, with the difference that none of this is hidden anymore.
The collaboration between GOP leaders and the Russian Federation is out in the open - the GOP is a criminal organization, that much is clear to anyone paying attention.
As I wrote in COVER UP - The GOP Is Engaged In a Massive Criminal Cover Up. the reason the leaders of the GOP are doing so many desperate things is because many party leaders are trying to stay out of prison.
All the insane bills they are introducing - bloggers who have to register with the state, child labor rollbacks, baby brides, banning drag queens in Southern states - it is all to keep us looking over there, or over there, or over there, so we don’t see the Big Picture of the Massive Criminal Coverup.
Well, I have some excellent news for you - the party is splintering, and right on time. It’s already well in the minority, and please do recall those embarrassing CPAC camera pans to empty rooms.
The only reason the GOP even has a pulse in Washington is by cheating in the form of the dumbest word in the English language - gerrymandering. In addition to its Russian frens.
Ron DeSantis would not even exist if Florida hadn’t been so carved up Republicans could cheat.
Florida, like Texas, is a blue state. The majority of the people do not want what the GOP is selling.
Just look at the numbers of people nationally who didn’t want Roe overturned - 70 percent.
I know from my studies of fascism that you don’t need a majority to come into power, just an amorality and a willingness to cheat.
The only strength the GOP had was the ability to all get in line - even behind the worst candidate in party history.
That’s not happening now. Gingrich is going after DeSantis, DeSantis is going after Trump, Trump has all the curb appeal of day old McDonalds - and after seven years and four decades is about to be criminally indicted. The women leaders of the GOP appear to be poorly drawn cyborgs on the verge of malfunctioning at any moment.
Wrapping themselves in American chinoiserie and bleating the world “Jesus” isn’t fooling anyone - they smell like Vodka and despair.
The propagandist arm of the GOP’s entire ass is hanging out - and even a casual observer can now see that the more American flags decorating a set, the more likely you’re watching Kremlin propaganda.
The GOP is a shitshow, and it’s not going well.
The recent Congressional theatre craft is not turning out how party traitors thought it might - they just look like future prison goons.
Which is not surprising, when one reflects back on how many GOP members of Congress asked Trump for a preemptive pardon.
Look, they are going to try everything - it’s what desperate people do. They are going to say awful things, they are going to do awful things.
And while your first response might be shock, I ask you to pause to grace, suck in some air and see it for what it is - distraction from massive criminal exposure - 2016, 2020, the pandemic response.
These are the same characters who tried to overthrow our government, they are going to try again. They are plotting and scheming right now. Looking at every move Orbán made and trying to figure out how to make their copycat laws look original.

I was tipped off to the degree of desperation when one of my email addresses started getting spammed with right-wing accounts.
They have one racket left - victimhood.
They are running their email appeals through some kind of AI so they read like this:
Blah blah blah woke mob blah blah blah cultural Marxism blah blah blah socialist communist blah blah blah woke mob woke mob woke mob blah blah blah trans trans trans blah blah blah victim victim gimme gimme blah blah blah
Victimese is their first language.
I am going to ask you for a favor. I am going to ask you to start repeating some very simple slogans - annunciate slowly and clearly for maximum impact, and recall, we have truth on our side, so say it with feeling:
The GOP is a shitshow
The GOP leaders are traitors
The GOP is a criminal party
The GOP is engaged in a criminal coverup
The GOP tried to overthrow the government
Trump Is Day Old McDonalds
Trump Is Day Old McDonalds
Trump Is Day Old McDonalds
DeSantis’ hires foreign agents
Woke, not broke
That last line is what you will be if the GOP regains power in 2024. The money will go straight to the top, and the great unwashed will be fighting for scraps. And just a reminder woke = empathy, a belief in justice for all, its origins rooted in anti-slavery. Wear your empathy like a shield against their hatred.
I am very aware that many new Bette members are former conservatives, who are now politically homeless. I apologize for being a blunt instrument with my words, but this is not the time for nuances.
We are at war. The GOP defected to the Russian Federation. The Russian people have no freedom. I do not want that coming here.
