As the world turns, retired IRS criminal investigator Martin Sheil ensures we keep our eye on the shady players. In the Bette Dangerous archives, you will find many astute insights from our friend Marty in our Follow the Money series and his myriad Letters to Bette.
What follows are Marty’s hot takes on three important breakers related to the disgraced Clarence Thomas, the Kushner family — Marty believes the entire Kushner clan needs investigating — and the disgraced erstwhile personal lawyer of Donald Trump — Rudy Giuliani — and his relationship to an oligarch named Fuks. Enjoy!

Look at the ProPublica pic of the Bohemian society mingling on the Bohemian patio. I think a moment’s reflection tells you all that you wanted to know, which just might make you want to puke a little in your mouth.
Note that besides Clarence there are no other black or brown men in the pic. Obviously there are no women because ... well the Bohemian society is men only with bald heads or white hair allowed, as that perfectly mirrors the upper ranks of corporate America.
That pic is precious because it captures a substantial subsection of America's corporate elite who came there to let their white hair down a little while in order to exchange far right Libertarian philosophy and conservative political gossip while discussing just whom to reel in with their money and power in order to sustain if not expand .. well ... their money and power.
Harold Crowe and Leonard Leo enticed and transported SCOTUS Justice Thomas to the Bohemian conclave multiple times as a star attraction to inform the elites as to the status of whatever legal challenges they can periodically draw up to diminish the onerous regulatory and tax landscape that the elite perceive minimizes their collective and individual riches and power.
We should all be reminded that when Trump first inhabited the White House his only notable legislative accomplishment was to reduce taxes on Corporations and wealthy individuals. The rest of Trump's work time was taken up holding meetings in the hopes of reducing corporate regulation via executive order.
Without a right-wing President to manipulate, the Bohemian society focused its attention on SCOTUS to right the wrongs of the legislative left and instill a Federalist Society imprimatur on SCOTUS opinions pertinent to the corporate and wealthy elites. Cases pondered by SCOTUS involving Chevron and its corporate regulatory impact and Moore v U.S. and its impinging Wealth tax on the elites, needed to be shaped well before decision time.
What to do?
It starts with sending corporate jets to squire around Justice Thomas or Justice Alito wherever they want or need to go. If that means getting Clarence to the nearest available fancy yacht or Bohemian bachelor fest, well what Clarence wants, Clarence gets.
Grooming is important to the elite.
Financial grooming of the non elite is essential for the elite to maintain their position, their status, their wealth, and most of all - their power.
As long as there are elites in our society there will be inequality and as long as there is inequality there will be unequal justice in the way our law is ruled.
And that is just the way Libertarians and Bohemians want it.
You would think Clarence Thomas would know that. Hey Clarence - it's not too late.
Justice Felix Frankfurter once said - "Wisdom too often never comes and so one ought not to reject it merely because it comes late.”
Say goodbye to Harlan Crowe and Leonard Leo and the Bohemians Clarence and come to wisdom. Make Justice Frankfurter proud.
It's not too late!

Paying for a Pardon
Hey Heidi
Have you seen this news flash?
Fyi
Paying for a Pardon? Trump pardoned Kushner's father — Kushner's father donates $1M to a Trump PAC
Can we call this Play ...get caught...get pardoned...then Pay?
Jared set up a Hedge Fund with a Saudi — $2Bn seed capital investment days after departing the Trump cabinet.
Fast work if you can get it.
The norm salary for managing partners of similar hedge funds is 2% of the equity in the fund so that would amount to a cool $40M per annum.
And Congress is worried about Biden's son's shady dealings?
Jared had some difficulties complying with the required paperwork all government employees must submit including those designated Counselor to the President..
Jared was an early investor in a multi-million dollar Real Estate tech startup called Cadre founded by himself and his brother Josh Kushner. Jared originally omitted any reference to his multiple million dollar investment but promised to revise his forms and divest this investment but sadly never did as originally promised.
Did Jared intend to conceal this investment in order to protect his brother?
or
Did Jared conceal this investment because Russian billionaire Yuri Milner had invested approximately $850K into Cadre and Jared was a little embarrassed?
But the Cadre omission was not Jared's first. When Jared first filed the mandated financial paperwork he did manage to disclose that Deutsche Bank had extended a personal line of credit to Jared and his mother up to $25M. The family that borrows together stays together.
How nice for Jared and Mommy Kushner.
However, Jared failed to disclose at that time the $285M refinancing his Real Estate firm received from Deutsche in October 2016 - a month before the Presidential election and just two months before the December 2016 announcement of Deutsche Bank's $7Bn mortgage securities fraud settlement with DOJ in SDNY. Notably, DOJ originally looked to charge Deutsche Bank with close to $14Bn before mysteriously settling for half that amount.
Oh my.
Jared and Mommy Kushner's credit line with Deutsche Bank pales in comparison to the close to one half billion dollar loans extended by Deutsche Bank to Donald Trump, but it should not go unnoticed. Perhaps we will find out a little more on what basis Deutsche extended so much to the Trumpster when the Civil Fraud Trial on Trump commences and we will finally get a gander on the financial statements provided to Deutsche in wink wink fashion apparently in order for Trump to sustain his credit with Deutsche.
Fun factoid - Deutsche Bank in Moscow was the go-to bank for the businesses owned by Russian oligarchs close to Mr. Putin. And it should also be noted that we are all still waiting on SDNY to conclude their money laundering investigation of the multi-billion dollar "mirror trades" facilitated by Deutsche and mysteriously suspended once 'the Donald' took office.
But we digress.
The whole Kushner family needs to be investigated.
The WHOLE Kushner family needs to be investigated.
Kushner's father was convicted of tax fraud and illicit campaign contributions. (Heidi note: A walk down memory lane, to that time when Charles set his brother-in-law up with a prostitute, recorded the encounter, and sent the tape to his sister to encourage omertà. #ThugLife)
Does the apple fall far from the tree?
or
Is the tree still growing?
Questions to ponder.
Perhaps Mrs. Kushner should received some scrutiny for the fact that days after her father started sitting in the Oval Office, the Chinese government started approving all the licenses and paperwork for Ivanka to sell her various wares.
Coincidence?
Yeah sure. The whole — and I mean whole Kushner clan — should be investigated.

Naemnik and the Numbskull
Heidi
Independent investigative reporter the wondrous Wendy ‘splendiferous’ Siegelman just dropped a piece on the oligarch Pavel Fuks and his multiple financial ploys in regards to Trump Tower, and I found it stimulating.
Fuks was one of the developers that Trump dangled in terms of developing hotel property in Moscow. Fuks attended Trump's inauguration in January 2017, which cost him a disputed amount which entangled Rudy Giuliani.
Wendy's piece details how Fuks employed Giuliani in 2017 for a handsome sum, and graphically portrays Fuks many offshore investment vehicles. Fuks was dubbed in childhood with the nickname "Naemnik," which means mercenary. Fuks apparently demonstrated his entrepreneurial skills early on.
Heidi - we have talked and written about Rudy Giuliani and his rapid descent from grace repeatedly and I did not want the opportunity to indulge my fetish for alliteration to escape, so I will refer to Pavel and Rudy hereinafter as Naemnik and the Numbskull. Wendy includes a nice pic in her piece of the two which is definitely worth a review.
Wendy outlines Naemnik's New York financial endeavors in deft fashion and it is certainly worth noting Unit 33A in the Trump Tower being purchased by a Naemnik associated shell company for $3.6M. Wendy also makes note of the fact that Melania Trump purchased Unit 33H on the same floor for $1.5M in January 2016, which is probably just a coincidence
We have talked in the past how the Trump joint tax returns reflected massive multi-million dollar Net Operating Losses year after year in the run up to the 2016 election. Certainly a purchase of a small $1.5M condo in Trump Tower as an escape hatch for the Mrs. during a hectic election campaign was probably no big deal. for 'the Donald.'
Tip money!
That money was undoubtedly recouped the following January when Inaugural money poured in with the big spenders bellying up $1M per to dine with the new Prez and somehow a lot of that Inaugural money disappeared with no trace. Some fingers were pointed at Melania but the investigation led nowhere.
Numbskull on the other hand brokered a ticket sale to the Inaugural that ended up with a suit by Naemnik over his Inaugural seating and that ended exactly how you might think...
More importantly, wondrous Wendy draws attention to Naemnik's business associations throughout her piece, and I wanted to make note of a guy by the name Onyshchenko that Wendy notes partnered up with Naemnik. The numbskull has referenced O as a possible source regarding Biden Burisma dirt, which is nonsense given the source, but Republican Congressmen are as desperate as they are stupid and wont't even end up with half a sheep carcass as they follow the lead of the numbskull while desperately pursuing Biden dirt in their never ending tribal blood feud.
O is a longtime Ukrianian crook involved in human trafficking, theft and money laundering which I have touched on in a previous article linked here.
Well, it seems that SDNY is investigating the ex Head of FBI Counter Intelligence in NY Charles McGonigal for financial irregularities like Sanctions Evasion and Money Laundering and the Republican Congress are hopeful that McGonigal will be identified as the source of Numbskull's end of the campaign promise to the media of "a Big Surprise" announcement relative to Hillary Clinton.
The FBI Deripaska file is likely to be surface in this investigation and the big surprise may very well be how close McGonigal's girlfriend (mistress) was to Numbskull and the many Deripaska connects there were to the Trump circle as the Trumpster had clearly moved on from one oligarch to another as he monetized the Presidency like a true mercenary or naemnik, with the help of some less than enlightened attorneys or numbskulls.
Time for some hops.
