Just a quick note with dates to save for upcoming community events. If you’re not yet a paid member, please take advantage of our extended half-off weekend sale for a first year membership.

Bette member events:

• Sunday, July 30, 4 pm PT — Bette’s ‘Speakeasy’

  • The Bette community is welcoming Ruth Ben-Ghiat to our ‘Speakeasy’ zoom salon. Registration details here, along with an essay highlighting some of Ruth’s work.

• Tuesday, August 1, noon PT - Bette’s Happy Hour

  • A weekly wellness checkin for global newsies. We learn so much from each other and often have special guests as news breaks. Registration link will be sent on or before Monday

• Sunday, August 20, 1 pm PT — Founder’s Day

  • Founding Members are invited to a special monthly Founder’s Day event — my way to say thank you to my high-level supporters — and we’ll be spending our first-ever Founder’s Day with Keir Giles, author of ‘Russia’s War on Everybody’ and one of my favorite people in the world. Keir and I have been collaborating for four years, ever since a Twitter stranger-now-a-friend sent me his NATO report — Handbook of Russian Information Warfare — which he wrote in 2016. I’ll have homework for the group in coming days.
