Byline Times - My Roundup of Trump’s Legal Cases
No sleep til perp walks
Many members of the Bette community remind me to practice self-care and get some sleep. I am relatively solid on the self-care front, but sleep has been optional since November 9, 2016.
There is too much work to do. Last night, I stayed up until the wee hours writing to the drama of lightning, thunder, and torrential rain to file my latest Byline Times report - Trump’s Various Legal Entanglements, which features a laundry list of cringy criming allegations. Just writing ‘allegations’ makes the bile rise. Trump has been criming in plain site, and when piecing together this investigation, it seems truly remarkable that he still walks free.
Please read the report, please subscribe to reader-funded Byline Times, and please send the investigation to everyone you know, so they can plainly see the evidence of corruption at our highest levels of power and the shaft of sunlight poking through that one of these cases will eventually stick.
As I recorded all the legal cases potentially securing Trump’s path to unfreedom, my heart heavy that so many millions were duped by a veteran con man, do note - the base may be shrinking to a pinhead. This is good for America, and good for the world.
As I wrote in my recent post - Victimhood - The Last Refuge of a Scoundrel:
The Party Formerly Known as the GOP will continue to recede into a circle of hell of its own making, with some members escaping toward the light, finding their way out, lured in by words of kindness.
‘It’s okay, we understand, you are safe here. It will be okay.’
Let us be those better angels, each one of us - offering a port in the storm as people return safely home.
A divided America will continue to destroy us and aid our enemies. Please be prepared to welcome your Trumpist family members home, as they realize their cult leader was just a punk-ass two-bit conman, who got himself in trouble with the Russian mob, and is likely still in trouble. They may also need to take a remedial course on greed.
To those minimizing the Manhattan ‘hush money’ case, I deferred to the brilliant Joyce Vance:
“Some people have suggested that the charges under consideration in Manhattan are insignificant, that Trump shouldn’t be charged with a mere ‘record-keeping error’,” former US Attorney Joyce Vance observed in her Civil Discourse newsletter. “I don’t see it that way. The Stormy Daniels incident is the origin story for Trump’s efforts to manipulate elections in unfair ways.”
As I wrote in the Byline Times report:
Although Trump’s screeds on his propaganda platform make him out to be the victim of an unfair world, each of the cases could potentially result in a former US president spending his twilight years in prison.
We all know, orange suits him.
