Seven years is a long time to be fighting an undeclared war.
I find myself reflecting on moments in time - moments when it felt like we were on the precipice of a rebirth, when women would truly be equal, and human rights would be enshrined.
Instead, we have suffered, on the world stage, and in our homes.
It’s important to acknowledge the trauma - who is behind it, and how we fight it.
This post documents one such moment - when a Resistance mom was walking on a beach, certain that we would be celebrating our first female president in just a few days. Only to not smile again for a long time.
The days have been short, the years have been long.
