We are a target nation of an information warfare machine and rather than combat it, we just hand-wring from crisis to crisis, while GOP and tankie extremists use the crises to bash liberal democracy, which is of course the point. To make liberal democracies appear to be failing to pave the way for strongman rule.
Psychological operations are military-grade influence wars aimed at altering a country’s state of mind through non-combative methods. It is a matter of great urgency that we see this as all part of the same war, and our leaders acknowledge it as such.
